Visited with Dona Ara to see what advances have been made and just have a look at the photos. This is the progress with the huerto ( garden plot) and it is looking lush. There are no problems with iguanas nor zorros which is great news.
The garden is growing nicely thanks to the talents of Leonardo and Jose. The furniture donated by a Canadian couple is moved into a safe area when the catechism classes happen to prevent accidents while the children are there but is moved out again after classes.
Volunteers come twice a week to sweep and clean the areas and are then able to have some produce from the garden.
Dona Ara tells me they are feeding about 80 people when there is full attendance and mostly children. There was some thinking to have the clients eat at the kitchen but most are still taking the food home…so your donations of plastic containers are well used and much appreciated!
